Most clients bring around 3-4 sets of lingerie, heels and jewellery
What to wear for a boudoir photoshoot

Wear lingerie that makes you feel fabulous! Lots of my private clients wear black lingerie for their boudoir photoshoot. Black is great, but it's also great to shoot colour, bright colour, so if you have anything in red, blue or green, then that will be awesome, those colours look great on film!
Bring your own accessories or outfits to wear

I LOVE it when people bring in their sporty stuff! I've seen snowboards, golf clubs, climbing ropes, road bikes, motorbikes, and more!
Or your accessories may be kinky? That's fine too... whatever your style, there's an open mind and no judgement here.
Accessories can include hobbies, if you're a baker, then bring in cakes, or icing, or cake tins!! You get the gist... just go for it!
Wear a white shirt in your shoot!
Boudoir expert Alexandra recommends that you bring a white shirt to wear in your photoshoot. you can be nude underneath or wear a set of lingerie it's whatever you feel comfortable with!
If you don't have a white shirt, you can also bring any blouse, or a jacket. For more ideas on what to bring to a photoshoot, email [email protected] or visit our boudoir galleries by clicking here.

Remember you’re gorgeous just as you are, but here are some ideas for you to try in your boudoir photoshoot, if you like.
How do I prepare for a boudoir photoshoot?
- Shoes
Bring your favourite heels to wear in your photoshoot. Other footwear is fine if it's part of your story, such as motorbike boots, flip flops, or wellies if you're an outdoor gal! - Lingerie
Wear things you really love, have a dig around in your lingerie drawer for your old favourites or go shopping for some new lingerie! - Sexy, fetish wear
Whatever your style you'll feel comfortable enough to wear whatever you like. - Stockings
Rather than hold ups, as hold ups dig into thighs. - Your partners outfits
If you're gifting your photos to a partner, bring outfits you know they'll appreciate. I don't know about you, but I've got a few outfits in my underwear drawer I'm not sure about but I wear because I know my partner loves! - Wedding accessories
If you're getting married, you can bring your wedding lingerie and accessories to wear in your photoshoot. You can see examples of what to wear for a Bridal boudoir session in our Bridal Boudoir Gallery.
Skin
For smoother skin, try dry brushing your whole body before showering, then after showering apply loads of moisturiser or body oil. Dry off naturally if you have the time.
Nails
Your hands will feature in your portraits, so give them some love before your shoot. For black and white portraits, french polish works best.
Hair
Pitch up at the FYEO studio with your hair ready. If your hair is short that means arrive with it pre styled, if your hair is long it means freshly washed and loose without too much product. We’ve got a wind tunnel to blow your hair that’s why we want it without too much product, so we can get more movement from it.
Hair removal
Top tips are to wax the day before your shoot to avoid redness, and to shave on the day of your shoot as close to your departure time as possible.

Have fun planning what to wear for your boudoir photoshoot
You can have a lot of fun when planning outfits to wear for your boudoir photoshoot! If you're having the photoshoot so that you can give the photos to a partner, you could bring along something that belongs to them. One lady brought her partners' guitar, another brought her partners' snow board!
Whatever you bring to wear for your boudoir photoshoot, you'll be styled and directed into your outifts by your female photographer.
Some of our studio poses suit more clothing on, whilst other poses look better naked, or naked with heels or just a necklace for example.
Most clients bring around 3-4 sets of lingerie, heels and jewellery to their boudoir photoshoot, but it's up to you. Something to consider is that the more outfits you want to feature in your collection of portraits, the bigger photoshoot package you need, you can the full range of boudoir photography prices in our shop.

What To Wear In Your For Your Eyes Only Photoshoot
You should bring a selection of outfits that reflect your style to your shoot. You can also go nude – or you can do a mix of the two.
I recommend bringing three to five sets of lingerie with enough options for different moods, themes, and styles.
A mix of styles works best – romantic lace, sultry satin, or playful patterns – each look will showcase your personality and versatility.
Choose pieces that highlight your favourite features and complement your body shape.
Heels help to elongate the legs and add a touch of glamour to your pictures. Bring a few pairs – black and nude work well, or any special occasion shoes, like your wedding shoes if you have any.
Include jewellery and accessories like stockings or garters, hats or scarves to elevate your look and add visual interest to your images.
I’ll never forget the lady who wore her husbands Masons blazer to pose naked in. I photographed her wearing stilettos and the blazer. She told me her plan was to print the picture small enough to fit into his top pocket where she knew he was going to keep his speech. the idea was that when he pulled out his speech from his top pocket, he would see the picture of her wearing his blazer nothing else. She was an inspiration -she was 60 too!! Talk about fun! I saw the glint of naughtiness in her eyes as she pictures her husbands face on stage with her photo in his hand! This really appeals to my own sense of fun and cheekiness!
Another lady brought her partners, Fireman's, jacket, helmet and trousers to wear. We created a collection of pictures where she was doing a striptease, she started off fully dressed in his Fireman's uniform, then ended up, only wearing his boots!
What to wear for a boudoir photoshoot
There’s a diverse range of enthusiasts who grace my studio! We welcome the fascinating realm of cycling and biking. You won't believe the array of individuals who bring in their road bikes, Cycling enthusiasts bring a unique energy to the studio. Being a road biker myself I’m envious of some of the £5k + bikes I photograph.
Helmets and boots make a regular appearance in our boudoir sessions. The bikers, with their rebellious spirit bring an element of va va voom to our shoots.
There are cycling enthusiasts who bring their road bikes, bikers who bring in their motorbikes. Helmets & boots feature regularly.
I’ve photographed people who have shaved or waxed every hair follicle from their body, including eyebrows. I’ve been mesmerised by the amount of piercings one body can take, and I’ve seen enough tattoos to write another book!
Music features too - there have been naked violinists, guitarists and a clarinet player. LP covers have been laid on, sat on and knelt on (no records were broken there!)
Boxes have been strangely popular… one lady brought 50 Tiffany boxes and posed naked with her sea of gorgeous turquoise around her. Louboutin shoe boxes have featured too in a similar way and shoes… let me tell you - I’ve photographed everything from 5 inches of louboutins to thigh high red pvc boots. Honestly I’ve seen it all.
The studio can get pretty messy sometimes… PVC enthusiasts leave a trail of Johnson’s baby powder behind, body oil and water shoots are booked by the more raunchy amongst us and the body paint is for people who want the art to literally be ON them.
Whether it's the sleek silhouette of a road bike or the rugged allure of a motorbike, we embrace the diversity of interests and hobbies that all our clients bring into the studio. It's a reminder that self-expression comes in various forms! My goal is to capture the essence of each individual, celebrating their unique passions and helping them tell their stories through the art of photography.
